Hostel

Have you ever seen nine-storeyed building № 29b when walking along the Nizhynska street which is situated on the hill near the road? No? Then you have an opportunity to read about this building which is our hostel №8, or even to visit it (though according to the rules, visitors may come from 3:00PM to 11:00PM).

Students being the best part of mankind (have you got any objection?) live here. There are 600 of us. We differ by race and religion, interests and wishes. But students' style of life unites us as well as our shared dwelling space does(3721 m2 and total 6723 m2 if it is of interest for someone).

Let's describe our "house".
An infare of the hostel took place in 1976, so it's impossible to write that everything is all right. There are some problems, but we will not share them with you, because students' mood and life must be affected by utility problems. They can have a comfortable life here if they want. The administration of the hostel is always ready to help.

We cannot complain much about bad conditions of the rooms, because it is personal. There are 224 dwelling rooms:
- for 3 person -176,
- for 2 person - 48.

As to our leasure...
It's not a secret that computer is the best 'toy' for a student. But it is a sence of life for a student of Computer Science faculty. Such people can seat 24 hour in front of computer. They combined their efforts and interests, and created the largest(more than 80 comp.) local area network in the university. Here is the structure of it:

And the greatest achievement of our network is that it is connected to the INTERNET.

But some of us use the computer only for studying purposes. Our gym is created especially for such students. It has all neccessary sport equipment. Anyone can join the club.
